The Story Behind Rosita Moves
I’m Rosita, born in Bogotá, Colombia, based in Switzerland. Growing up in Colombia, a country rich in cultural diversity, indigenous heritage, and natural landscapes, I was exposed early to the value of exploring places with curiosity and respect. My academic background is in Business Administration, complemented by studies in design and the arts, and I am currently expanding my path into Sustainable Tourism Management. This combination allows me to approach travel strategically, creatively, and with cultural awareness.
Over the past seven years of living abroad, I have lived in several countries including the United Kingdom, Malta, Italy, Brazil, Turkey, India, Nepal, and Switzerland. Living in different cultural and social environments required navigating immigration processes and constantly adapting to new realities. These experiences gave me a deep understanding of what it means to build a life across borders, navigate unfamiliar systems, and adapt to new cultures. They also allow me to guide others who are considering similar international transitions.
Along the way, I immersed myself in experiences that profoundly transformed my perspective on travel. In Brazil, I connected with Afro-Brazilian traditions, which redefined my understanding of culture and identity. In Nepal, I trekked in the Himalayas, participated in spiritual retreats with monks, and volunteered with local communities, as well as in Cambodia, helping in villages, schools, and rural farms. I also participated in spiritual retreats with monks in Thailand and India. These experiences changed my understanding of tourism and inspired my interest in connecting more deeply with culture, spirituality, and place.
Through these years of living abroad and navigating life between cultures, I realized that movement, whether through travel or relocation, can easily become overwhelming without clarity and direction. The desire to explore the world is often there, but without the right structure it can lead to uncertainty, lost time, and missed opportunities. That is why Rosita Moves was born, to bring together lived experience and thoughtful strategy, helping others approach travel and international transitions with clarity, intention, and confidence.
Vision
By 2030, my vision is to establish Rosita Moves as a bridge that simplifies life across borders. My goal is to guide others in rediscovering how they navigate the world, helping them prioritize meaningful experiences and practical decisions. Whether they are focused on international travel or relocation, I am here to ensure they integrate seamlessly into new environments and enjoy the journey with clarity and confidence.
